Interview: J. Dange and US Times

01/20/2022

Today we'd like to introduce you to J. Dange.
It's an honor to speak with you today. Why don't you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I've been a hip-hop head my entire life and I decided to test my hand at writing music. My back was up against the wall and I was homeless so I picked up my pen and started writing a verse everyday and posting on Instagram(I called it wake up and bust). People started recognizing me and my following grew. I was able to record my first full album and released it on all platforms, it's called "DID IT MY WAY" and it just went platinum on streams as of April 2021. Just believing in myself and grinding.
I'm sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
I've had to overcome not having capital, being homeless, being told no a lot, and finding the right people that believed in my talent and wanting to record me.
Let's talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am a hip-hop artist and I specialize in writing songs. My work ethic is unmatched, I try to write at least one song a day. I don't play around with my art and when it's time to work, it's all work! I'm going to get it done. I write on any kind of track because I do not want to be pigeon holed into being one kind of artist. I love all music and I want to create masterpieces on everything.
What's your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My best piece advice for others is to follow your own dreams, don't let anyone tell you who you are. Invest in yourself and keep going no matter the odds.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means you are following your dreams and making a healthy living off of them. You are able to take care of yourself, your family, and others in need without the stress of not being able to afford anything. Also, when strangers can relate to and appreciate my art. Making a difference and having an impact in the world.
What's next for you?
I've started my own company LOSS CAUZ ENTERTAINMENT and I'm looking to make that an extreme success. Being able to realize my dream while being able to help other up and coming artists achieve their dreams and reaching financial freedom the right way.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
People can connect with me on Instagram(@jdange23), on Twitter(@jdange23), and on my email(jdange23@losscauzent.com) - US times
